  • **UPDATE** Good News!

    I am happy to announce that Aetna has resolved their contract issue impacting the insurance claims from past visits! 👏🏼🎉

    We will be resubmitting ALL past Aetna claims for payment now that they have fixed their system’s error with our contract over the next 30 days.

    You man continue to not pay any current Aetna out-of-network bills you may have received as they process the resubmissions.

    As for UMR, United, and all other insurances, we were able to confirm that they were NOT impacted by the Aetna contract issue.

    If you have any questions about non-Aetna bills, you can reach out to us, our billing dept (888-827-5423), or your insurance provider directly for answers and guidance.

    **ORIGINAL MESSAGE**

    Hi Everyone,

    We wanted to reach out and let everyone know that a couple of the insurance companies (Aetna, United/UMR, possibly others) have been denying some of your claims stating that we are Out of Network for you and your plan.

    This is an internal error with these Insurance companies.

    We have our credentialing team and billing team working together with the insurance companies to correct this issue ASAP.

    If you have received a denial and/or a notice stating that Sanctuary Pediatrics is Out of Network and received a bill, THIS IS MOST LIKELY AN ERROR and therefore incorrect.

    Once the insurance companies resolve the issue, our billing team will RE-SUBMIT ALL CLAIMS for coverage and payment.

    If you have received a bill, you may wait to pay it if you feel comfortable doing so. Bills due to a visit claim denial will likely end up being covered or adjusted by the insurance companies.

    If you have already paid a bill that was incorrectly sent to you as a result of the error, you may contact the insurance company or billing company to make a reimbursement request ONCE THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED.

    We understand how frustrating this is and apologize for how this may have impacted you and your finances. Rest assured that we have contracts with these insurance companies and the issue WILL BE RESOLVED soon.

    A NOTIFICATION WILL BE SENT OUT TO EVERYONE ONCE THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED.

    Rest assured that we do have contracts with these insurances companies and will absolutely see a change for most, and possibly all, denied insurance claims.

  • At Sanctuary Pediatrics, your child’s health is our priority. Please note that our clinic does not carry every vaccine. If you request a vaccine we do not stock, we will do our best to help you find the specific product you need, whether through a custom order or referral.

    In addition, due to supply and shipping delays, some vaccines we normally carry may not be available at your appointment. We are working closely with our vendor to restock and will help schedule a quick follow-up if needed.

    If you know which specific vaccine you would like your child to receive at their visit, please include it in your appointment notes so we have the ability to ensure stock or let you know ahead of time if it will be unavailable.

    At this time, we also do not have Vaccines for Children (VFC) program vaccines available, as we are awaiting our Medicaid site visit and approval. This impacts Medicaid/CHP+/CO Access, Cash Pay, some SP+ Memberships. We can refer you to the state health department clinic if desired.
