Holistic Pediatric Healthcare - for our community
Sanctuary Pediatrics was born out of a deep desire to meet the growing pediatric healthcare needs of families in the Northern Colorado Springs and Monument area. As our community has expanded rapidly, it became clear that healthcare has not kept pace—not only in availability, but in its willingness to adapt. Too often, families are placed into a one-size-fits-all box, leaving little room for individualized care or a more holistic approach.
As a parent of three boys, I understand firsthand how important it is to have local, accessible, and truly personalized care. At Sanctuary Pediatrics, we believe every child and family is unique. That’s why we focus on individualized support designed around the specific needs of your child—whether they’re navigating a chronic condition, facing mental health challenges, or simply needing care for an everyday illness.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between modern medicine and natural care, offering a balanced, thoughtful approach that honors both science and the wisdom of whole-child well-being. Here, your family is seen, heard, and supported—never boxed in.
We believe your kids deserve timely, accessible care and you deserve a local partner to help you raise happy, healthy kids.
Let’s do it. Together!

Jessica began her career as a RN in internal medicine and quickly moved to pediatric care. She focused her skills and experience while providing care to children at Seattle Children’s Hospital as part of a med-surg team where she managed pre- and post-op transplant and heart surgeries. After moving to Colorado, she joined the Colorado Children’s Hospital network in the Urgent Care and ER settings where she was knit into the local greater-Colorado Springs area.
Her passion for children’s health, however, lies in preventative initiatives and education offered through primary care services. This led her to enhance her education and earn a Master of Science in Nursing and to become a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. While providing pediatric primary care at a small clinic in Colorado Springs, she identified the need for additional pediatric clinics in the area, especially in Northern El Paso County.
With a drive to never stop learning, her desire is to bring the skills and experience she has gained through the years and combine it with continued education in functional medicine in order to provide the best care for the children in our area.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. She loves doing plenty of puzzles and board games, and also enjoys the outdoors—hiking, kayaking, and traveling.

Brittney is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a strong passion for integrative, root-cause pediatric care. She believes families deserve thoughtful, individualized medical care that looks beyond symptom management alone and considers the full picture of a child’s health, including nutrition, environment, immune function, development, and lifestyle. Her approach blends evidence-based pediatric medicine with a holistic perspective, helping families better understand underlying contributors to illness while creating practical, personalized care plans that support long-term wellness.
While Brittney enjoys caring for children of all ages, she has particular clinical interests in newborn and infant care, including breastfeeding support, feeding concerns, growth, and early developmental guidance. She values partnering closely with families during the newborn period and first year of life, recognizing how foundational these early stages are for lifelong health and development. She also has a strong interest in caring for children with atopic conditions such as eczema, asthma, allergies, and other chronic inflammatory concerns, helping families better understand triggers, patterns, and practical ways to support overall health.
Brittney completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Fort Hays State University and earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Colorado Denver.
Outside of practice, Brittney loves spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Their family enjoys staying active in the community, spending as much time outdoors as possible, camping, traveling, and making memories with friends and family. Whether it is exploring the mountains, being outside with her kids, or enjoying Colorado’s changing seasons, she values an active lifestyle and the simple moments that come with family life.

Myra Paysen, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners with more than two decades of healthcare experience. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016, she spent nearly 20 years as a critical care nurse, where she developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for compassionate, patient-centered care. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Myra was born and raised in the Midwest before relocating to Colorado in 2020. Her passion for caring for children and families is deeply personal. As the mother of three grown children, she understands the importance of finding a healthcare provider who truly listens, takes time to answer questions, and partners with families in making informed decisions about their child's health. Myra's mission is to educate, empower, and support families so they can confidently make the best decisions for their children's well-being. She believes that every child deserves individualized care and that true wellness comes from addressing the whole person—not just treating symptoms. Her philosophy of care combines the best of conventional Western medicine with evidence-based integrative and holistic approaches. She is passionate about identifying the root causes of illness whenever possible while supporting the body's natural ability to heal. Her greatest joy is helping children and their families thrive, achieve optimal health, and live the vibrant lives they envision for themselves. Outside the clinic, Myra embraces the same philosophy of healthy living that she encourages in her patients. She considers it a blessing to be able to spend time outdoors with her family and two dogs, taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer—from hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and camping in their rooftop tent to golfing and skiing in the winter.
